Hi Friends!
On behalf of the sister of Phi Mu Alpha Gamma, I am so excited to show everyone how amazing this chapter is and all that we have accomplished in the past few semesters. Throughout my time as a member and on exec, I have experienced some of the most genuine friendships, witnessed many acts of service, and have seen nonstop love for the Lord everyday. I find myself so impressed by my sisters each semester through big philanthropy events such as Bonnamu or Meals to Missions where girls pour their hearts into community or smaller sisterhood events where they take time out of their days to be intentional with one another. One of my favorite things about this chapter is that you can truly find any type of girl, each person is unique in their own way and I find myself constantly surprised when I learn more about each person.
For the PNMs going through recruitment, do not be afraid to be yourself!! I know the recruitment process has a lot of pressure to it and it can be very stressful to choose what chapter you wish to call home. I can say with confidence that we want to get to know what makes you, you. Do not feel like you have to change yourself in any way. I can attest that the girls in Alpha Gamma will love you no matter what! Whether you end up in Phi Mu or another incredible chapter at Samford, remember that you will always have a friend behind the pink door. We are so excited to meet you!!
LIOB,
Ellen Orgeron

THE PHI MU CREED
“To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.
To think of God as a protector and guide of us all.
To keep forever sacred the memory of those we have
loved and lost.
To be to others what we would they would be to us.
To keep our lives gentle, merciful and just,
thus being true to the womanhood of love.
To walk in the way of honor, guarding the purity of our
thoughts and deeds.
Being steadfast in every duty, small or large.
Believing that our given word is binding.
Striving to esteem the inner man above culture, wealth
or pedigree.
Being honorable, courteous, tender,
thus being true to the womanhood of honor.
To serve in the light of truth, avoiding egotism,
narrowness and scorn.
To give freely of our sympathies.
To reverence God as our Maker, striving to serve Him in
all things.
To minister to the needy and unfortunate.
To practice day by day love, honor, truth.
Thus keeping true to the meaning, spirit and reality of
Phi Mu.”
